Bird mask tryout

Description

Made another mask out of willow twigs. The twigs I err... "borrowed" from my neighbours were already several months old, so they were a lot more difficult to work with.
I finished this about a week ago, but didn't get around posting it until now.

I made this mostly to try out some new ideas and techniques I had been thinking about after I finished my first mask.
As with the previous mask, I didn't use any other materials apart from twigs.
It has a movable lower jaw as you can see in the pictures, completely made out of twigs as well, and I actually managed to figure out a durable way to make it move.

I also tried adding some random beads, feathers and fabric to see how that looked, but it looked better without all the bells and buttons. I only kept the red rooster feathers which do fit it somewhat. (and which my camera seems to hate as it can't ever focus on them.)
This one is also much more easy to wear as the fox mask, and can be worn both like a regular mask, as well as a "headdress" by placing it on your head. I also made a tiny poseable pillow with some black velvet fabric scraps, some iron wire and polyfill which fits on the inside and makes wearing it more comfortable.
It's also a lot more bigger as the fox mask, as you can see in one of the pictures where it's hanging on my wall.
To give you an idea what it looks like when being worn, I strapped it to the head of a stuffed animal in the pictures:XD: (and as you can see, all the extra fabric and such made it look super-messy.)

It still needs some work (the sides are rather bald, and there still are twigs sticking out left and right), but I'm happy with how it turned out, and that the techniques I had in mind turned out this well.

I'm totally going to wear this on Halloween.
