Redesigned 'fursona'

Description

Some of my older watchers might remember that I used to have a "fursona" to represent me on which my ever so terrible current username is based (The "Diardi" part is comes from the Latin name for the Bornean Clouded leopard subspecies).
At the time I only remember making a fursona because a lot of my favorite artists on dA had one representing them too. Because I saw them everywhere, I thought it was kind of a mandatory thing to have as a mostly animal artist (I was young and impressionable lol). It never had any very deep meaning and it also never played part in any stories and such. I also never had any connection to it in any kind of way that went beyond a superficial way of representing me by mashing together all of the elements that I liked at the time.
It was a mix between a clouded leopard and a wolf which at the time were my favorite animals. It basically came down to looking like a wolf with vaguely clouded leopard markings and tail. It also always had a lot of stuff like bracelets, earrings, a hat, a scarf, and a small messenger bag for no reason other than me liking and/or wearing those.
I eventually started seeing it more as a representation of my naive and silly nature back then after I aged and developed more of a sense of critical thinking.

I ended up discarding my "fursona" I think nearly half a decade ago after I no longer even liked the term nor the idea of having one. Due to its unimportance it only occasionally made a cynical cameo in my sketches and silly doodles either as a rug, a pelt being worn, a hunting throphy on the wall, etc.
Even so, I couldn't ever completely discard it out of a sense of nostalgia because it was the first character I deliberately created with some intent behind it, and I also had it for quite a while.

so I tried redesigning it and make it more fitting to my current personality.
I basically stripped it of all bright colors and toned down whatever brighter natural markings were left. It's now predominatnly grey with rusty brown colors which match the wolf part that was supposed to be in there better. All of the excessive spots and markings were removed, and other than a few spots left and right it only has the marbled clouded leopard markings on its back starting behind the little wolfish neck ruff.
I tried blending both the cat and wolf parts a bit better too rather than just slapping a wolf tail on a big cat or a big cat tail on a wolf with some altered markings like I did in the past. Its eyes aren't black, but appear darker because they're nearly always narrowed and rather small and deep-set. They're actually both yellow.
I kept the scarf and earrings (both completely optional) because why not even though none of that makes sense on a creature without opposable thumbs. The color of the scarf changed accordingly as well.
Other than the marbled back markings (not pictured due to a lack of room), it mainly has European wolf and wildcat markings/colors because those animals are a bit more native to where I'm from.

The weird little drawing with the tongue sticking out was an attempt at creating a watermark design based on this character. It also includes my dA initials. the tongue might make it look silly, but it's supposed to be silly in a kind of passive-aggressive way due to the narrowed eyes which aren't really "smiling" along as well as the teeth which are both exposed.

Also, you can see all of my terrible sketch lines which I failed to remove completely.

Staedtler pigment liner 0.05, Bruynzeel and Staedtler colored pencils on A5 (or two thirds of it anyway) bamboo paper.

I love the blend of anatomies here, and the "take no crap" expression. Great job!
