Fever dream

this is another illustration I made for my dream journal. I'm trying to illustrate some of my favorite or weirdest ones. This was not really a fever dream, though the colors sure make it look like it might have been one.
This one is freehand, since sketching this wouldn't have made much of a difference.

No points whatsoever for guessing what probably inspired this. It's entirely possible I was reading an art history course before going to bed.
This was actually just a very brief scene in a dream where everything suddenly tried to become an impressionistic paiting for no reason. The only colors present were dark red, lighter red, some kind of ochre, and very thick dark black outlines. The sun was bright red and there was a wee little town with a church on the horizon in the distance. The perspective and all that didn't really make sense anymore either, though this is far from unusual in dreams.
