Dream journal - one-eyed black dog

It's been quite a while since I've drawn anything from my dream journal. I haven't been keeping it all that much anymore the past year, but I still wrote down a few interesting things.

One of the most recurrent dream themes that I have by far are black dogs, or by extention all sorts of melanistic canines. They always look different, save for this one which has appeared a few times now and is always consistent in its appearance, so I made a mini drawing of it though I'm not planning on using it for anything in particular as a character. 
It is actually not as much a dog as it is a person who can change into a dog, mostly to avoid dangerous situations or avoid people because it can get away faster on all fours. The eye was lost in one dream and remained gone in subsequent dreams since.  

It's fully white or albino dogs that are truly frightening in my dreams though. Unlike the melanistic canines which are always pretty chill and laid back, these tend to be aggressive monstrosities which try to shred anything organic within their sight.


It's not a very special looking character, but it's of a very personal nature to me. Despite its ludicrously simple design, it also took me forever to get it down to paper in exactly the way I imagined it because there was always a teeny tiny thing ever so slightly off about its design until now. :I

My scanner also suddenly sprang back to life despite not a single thing about its compatability issues being solved. Something tells me it's going to turn nonfunctional again at the very worst possible time somewhere in the near future.
