Description

Yep, another one of those things nobody will look at. This is more or less everything from 2014 so far. I lost a few small drawings, but I might add them once I find them somewhere.
I'm practicing on backgrounds and objects as well as generally stuff I usually never draw. I'm trying to draw things by looking at them rather than constantly picking a subject and trying to learn how to draw it from scratch. Moving from one theme or thing to the next is too slow a learning process if I want to continue improving. None of those sketches will be highly detailed though.
I'm still working on drawing humans too, but I won't be uploading those sketches until they look at least halfway decent.

so what's in here from left to right:
- not-paying-much-attention snarly doodles.
- random trotting ballpoint pen wolf
- objects seen around me + irritated toony wolf face
- large wooden closet which looked fun to draw (and had ridiculously uneven woodwork. not all of my wonky lines are actual mistakes.)
- ref sheet for a "fursona" type of thing I was busy designing which I found more fitting to my appearance and general personality. So here's a tall, lanky, skinny, wolfish thing that has perfected the art of scowling and perma-frowning, with a crooked back and neck and extra long and pointy teeth to catch fish which is its favorite food. It's not a keeper though, and I'll probably change it further.
- conceptual doodle of me wearing the pelt of my old and discarded fursona. I sometimes draw it as a rug too. The axe was inspired by Fallout: New Vegas where I have a melee character who wields one.
- Saluki dog, style inspired by ancient Mesopotamian art and architecture.
- Conceptual rabbit doodle.
- Weirdest self-portrait ever. It's based on a recurrent dream theme where I snarl like a wolf or dog when angry or scared, and actually grow a set of inscissors and canines of some canine animal.
- Skull study of a dog skull of a small breed I bought on a flea market. It's missing both canines and five little front teeth, and has no lower jaw. Someone also spray-painted it silver for reasons that are beyond me, but it still works fine as reference. I named it Vuk for the time being. (pronounced more like "vook" or "vuuuhk." The English language is seriously limited when it comes to certain sounds and pronunciations.)
- spotted wolf from another dream. It was a very aggressive one who attacked a friend of mine.
- the so-called "Greek crow" from another dream. It was completley black, save for its head, of which each tiny feather had a single white dot near the end.
- Liny dog thing.
- Weird monster thing I recognized as a "wolf" in a dream, lol. It was dark red, orange and yellow in color and could breathe fire.
- Axolotl dog, which is exactly what it says. Another dream critter. It was completley white and lived in a desert like some kid of scavenger creature.
- And lastly a magpie with inverted colors from yet another dream. It's just there as filler, really.

Materials used for these were only ink pens, ballpoint pens, and graphite pencils.
